What is the APRC?
The Asia Pacific Rally Championship is an official F.I.A. championship that
covers a diverse range of countries, climates, cultures and a population base
of over 2.5 billion people.
In 2011 six events make-up the championship starting with the Malaysian Rally
based in Johor just over the causeway from Singapore. Next up the APRC visits
the Pacific region with events in Queensland Australia, New Caledonia and New
Zealand.
The final two events are Japan (Hokkaido) and the China Rally, based in Longyou
400 kilometres south west of Shanghai.
From beautiful south-sea island sunsets to the rugged mountains in northern
China this rally championship has it all. Drivers from Japan, Indonesia, India,
Malaysia, China, Japan, New Caledonia, Australia and New Zealand compete in
the latest rally cars from Mitsubishi, Subaru and Proton.
APRC.TV Ltd has been the official television producer for the championship
since 1999 and in 2010 418 million TV viewers in 196 countries watched coverage
of the APRC. (Source: APRC.TV Ltd)
